Natural philosopher (1542-1617)

Tarquinia Molza was a Renaissance philosopher, writer, musician who lived and worked in Modena and Ferrar in Northern Italy. Her scholarship was so respected by the people that the Roman Senate voted Roman citizenship to her and all her heirs in perpetuity in 1601. Reference: Joanne Riley, Johns Hopkins University.
