The star cluster cluster Messier 35 (NGC 2168) in Gemini, from a photograph made with the 61-cm Baker-Schmidt telescope at Dyer Observatory. The field of view is about 0.7 degrees east-west.
M35 is a beautiful object for binoculars or even a small telescope, often visible as a hazy spot to the unaided eye at the feet of Gemini. There is a much more distant and richer cluster only about 0.3 degrees to the southwest, NGC 2158, which requires a more substantial telescope to see properly. Somehow I managed to miss it in the picture above (it's just outside the field of view). It does show up in this average of a series of 30-second red-light exposures taken with the University of Alabama Crimson Dragon wide-field system:
