The star cluster Messier 46 (NGC 2437) in Puppis, shown in a BVR composite CCD image obtained with the UA 16-inch telescope. The field of view is about 0.36 degrees east-west. The interest of M46 is only enhanced by the planetary nebula NGC 2438 in the field of view (although it is a foreground object closer than the cluster).
