| Exams: | Four multiple choice exams: three during term, plus a Final |
| Final Exam: | an exam (4th) over the last material covered since the 3rd
exam |
| Grading: | The four exam scores contribute equally toward 100% of the
final grade. |
| Makeups: | There are no makeup exams unless you have a good, documented
excuse for missing an exam -- then a (5th) comprehensive exam can be taken during the final to substitute |
| Attendance: | Class participation (using clickers) contributes up to 10% extra credit. |
| Extra credit: | Correct responses to in-class clicker questions generate extra credit of up to 10% |
| Prereq: | This course has no prerequisites. |
| Objectives: | to survey the contents of the Universe, their workings and

| Note: | AY 102 (Astronomy Lab) must also be taken (at some time) for
